Johnny Dee Rough and Tumble Entertainment are the shit! Period! I have been in studios all over the world and I cannot say enough good things about them! Best sounding drum room at a reasonable price in Philadelphia. Do yourself a favor, before you hand your money to anyone else, take your project to Rough and Tumble. They are the best! – Johnny Dee – Session Drummer, Britney Fox, Doro |

Octane When we recorded material for our last EP release at Rough & Tumble Studios, we knew we’d be back! We’re in the process of recording our forthcoming 10 song release and it’s sounding f**king great! Great collection of microphones and one of the best drum rooms in the city! Sounds great on the radio! – David Simpson – Octane |

Nick Douglas I tracked drums for my most recent solo effort at Rough and Tumble. Excellent mic pre’s and outboard tube gear. The room itself sounds great! Gear you’d find at studios with a much higher day rate! Go there! – Nick Douglas – Solo Artist |
Eminence Grey We’re currently recording tracks for an album now and Jimmy and Ben are nothing but stellar, professional and absolutely wonderful to work with. The studio has the best drum sound in Philly and I cannot recommend Rough & Tumble highly enough. – Sergio Aviles – Eminence Grey |

Codename From the moment I first walked in the door, it was immediately clear that this was going to be a special session. The vibe was just on; I was instantly hit with the feeling of coziness – that feeling you get late at night in your home studio, but can’t seem to capture with the pros. Somehow, Jimmy’s done it. In addition to the vibe, the gear is fantastic – and more importantly these guys know how to use it, and they know their own room extremely well! Engineer Ben showed us the sweet spots for the room mics during drum tracking, and it just sounds amazing! I’ll gladly take the back-roads location for this kind of ultra-pro quality at such an affordable rate. I’ve recorded in studios that were double the price for half the quality of gear, knowledge, and good people! - Adam Nash – Codename |
Rhondo & The Goodes I’ve cut tracks in countless studios on both coasts, The Plant in Saucilito, Rumbo in LA, Avatar in NYC and numerous others. But here in Philadelphia, Rough & Tumble Studios rivals them all. From the chill vibe, to state of the art gear to the solid pros behind the console. (Owner/ Producer) James DiLella is a visionary perfectionist who will settle for nothing less than “exceptional” which is exemplified by the sheer sonic ideal delivered at R&T. It is pointless to cut antwhere else. Myself & my band (The Goodes) do all of our recording right here in Philly at Rough & Tumble. SOLID! – Rhondo – Singer, Songwriter, Guitar, Drums |

The Day Life Our time at Rough and Tumble was a memorable one. Though we only recorded drum tracks, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and Ben McGuinn is a master engineer. We would definitely recommend this studio to any musician looking for a great sound and great staff. - Alex Markovitz – The Day Life |
Mariah Mariah rehearsed at Rough and Tumble as recently as Summer 2008 in preparation for our Rocklahoma 2008 festival appearance in Pryor, Oklahoma with Night Ranger, Triumph, Poison among others. The facility was great, gear was awesome, we were able to record rehearsals for future release! State of the art high end gear and they know how to use it! Sounds fantastic! – Mariah |
