      Studio Time

        Reserving Studio Time

        1. 5 days notice must be given to reserve studio time.
        2. To lock in session times, clients must place a deposit equal to 50% of the booked studio time
        3. R&T reserves the right to waive such deposit requirement in its unfettered discretion.
        4. Bookings without a deposit shall be subject to change or cancellation should management so decide.
        5. R&T reserves the right to make other financial arrangements with its clients.

        Canceling

        1. 48 hours notice must be given for any cancellations.
        2. If notice is not received by R&T within 48 hours, the client shall relinquish their deposit.
        3. Sessions cancelled the same day of the scheduled session will be liable for the total cost of the booked time.
        4. Client(s) will pay all of R&T’s attorney’s fees associated with financial collection processes for services rendered by R&T or materials purchased.

        Start & End Time

        1. Sessions will start at the scheduled time
        2. Any session time lost due to client tardiness will not be refunded.
        3. Recording will end at the designated session end time
        4. Any additional recording time will be charged by the hour
        5. Note that performers and engineers may become fatigued during long sessions, which could affect the quality of your work.

        Session Set-Up

        1. Staff will arrive one hour before session start for set-up and equipment check.
        2. Clients may arrive early to set-up their own instruments (effects, amps, drums, etc.) in effort to expedite the recording process.

        Session Break-Down

        1. Clients will not be charged for the time required to breakdown the studio facility after a session.

        Session Downtime

        1. R&T’s liability in respect to “downtime” of any and all studio sessions as a result from equipment malfunction or availability, personnel, hired musicians, acts of nature or public utility companies, etc., shall be limited solely to the studio time of such booked session; and client(s) agree to hold R&T harmless from any and all damages from such “downtime”.

        Method and Time of Payment

          1. Payments are to be accepted only in cash or by check.
          2. Payment must be received in full at the beginning of every session before any work will begin.
          3. No media in R&T’s possession shall be released to clients until all open accounts have been settled and all checks tendered as payment have cleared R&T’s account.

          Accreditation

            1. The phrase “Recorded at Rough & Tumble Studios” must appear in the liner notes of every public physical and/or digital release of media recorded at Rough & Tumble.
            2. The phrase “Mixed at Rough & Tumble Studios” must appear in the liner notes of every public physical and/or digital release of media mixed at Rough & Tumble.
            3. The phrase “Recorded & Mixed at Rough & Tumble Studios” must appear in the liner notes of every public physical and/or digital release of media that is both recorded and mixed at Rough & Tumble.

            Copyright/Licensing

              1. The client affirms that they are the rightful owner or assignee of the materials to be recorded or reproduced.
              2. R&T and our employees are not responsible for copyright violations, talent or creative royalties, mechanical licenses, or any other liabilities of such material.

              Media Storage

                1. Media is securely backed up at the end of every session.
                2. At the end of the final recording/mixing/mastering session the data will be available for the client to upload into their own external hard drive.
                3. All data will remain on the studio hard drive for a period of 30 days after which the data will be erased with no backups made.

                Demo Reel

                  1. Rough & Tumble Studios reserves the right to use the recorded material in a demo reel situation for use in studio promotion/advertising.
                  2. Full accreditation will be clearly given to the material.
                  3. Duration of material will be no longer that 60 seconds, unless otherwise specified.

                  General Studio Rules

                    Smoking/Illegal Substances

                    1. No Smoking
                    2. No illegal/illicit substances
                    3. R&T promotes a professional atmosphere in a welcoming environment – Illicit behavior of any kind is strictly prohibited.

                    Damage

                    1. Damage to the studio property of any kind that are a result of anyone in client’s party or group will be assessed to client’s account.

                    Cell Phones

                    1. All cell phones must be either turned OFF or in “Airport Mode”
                    2. Cell phone frequencies are picked up by microphones and speakers and are in turn recorded into the source material; there is no way to remove this type of noise if it is recorded.

                    Personnel

                    1. To keep the session moving in a productive manner, only the participating members may attend the session
                    2. Please ask all groupies and posses to stay home.


NOTE: Clients will be required to sign a copy of these policies indicating that they have read and fully understand the above policies.
